Operation Resign Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers

To be delivered to Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-5)

Petition Statement

Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-5) has repeatedly attempted to skew figures and pander downright lies regarding Trump's Tax Reform Scam to We, the People of Washington. The only constituents who will benefit are the wealthy. The rest of us will suffer for these cuts while she lives in mansion in California. Cathy McMorris Rodgers isn't representing our interests, only her wealthy donors. We, the People of Washington, therefore call for her immediate resignation.

Petition Background

As a parent, former early childhood teacher, substitute teacher, and published co-editor of a collegiate developmental psychology textbook, I am keenly aware of the impact poverty has, especially on vulnerable populations. I want our children to be well-educated, to have affordable health care. I want to be able feed and protect our children, POC, LGBTQI+, our disabled, our poor, our elderly an our vets. My daughter is disabled and 25 years old. She is terrified and I am not able to console her. The tax scam is not what I want our legacy to be, and I have faith you don't either.
